EN: The objective of the integral sanitation project of the National Canal is to detonate a linear urban park of metropolitan reach in the east of Mexico City, through the regeneration of its water and environmental infrastructure. The main guidelines proposed for the master plan were based on hydraulic and infrastructure issues, landscape and environment, urban infrastructure and equipment, connectivity, mobility and social benefit.
The rehabilitation of the hydrological infrastructure and urban equipment included the intervention of the Miramontes pumping plant in Av. Río Churubusco, to create an access hall to the linear park; also included the generation of zones of being, that connect the 8.4 km along the Canal.
ES: El principal objetivo del proyecto integral de saneamiento del Canal Nacional es detonar un parque urbano lineal de alcance metropolitano en el oriente de la Ciudad de México, a través de la regeneración de su infraestructura hídrica y ambiental. Las principales directrices planteadas para el plan maestro se basaron en temas hidráulicos y de infraestructura, paisaje y medio ambiente, infraestructura y equipamiento urbano, conectividad, movilidad y beneficio social.
La rehabilitación de la infraestructura hidrológica y equipamiento urbano incluyó la intervención de la planta de bombeo de Miramontes en Av. Río Churubusco, para crear un vestíbulo de acceso al parque lineal; incluyó además la generación de zonas
de estar, que conecten los 8.4 km a lo largo del Canal.
